Das Boot!

This has me so proud you wouldn't even believe it. I know, I know it just looks like a green corduroy blob, but it is four pieces sewn together in the shape of a boot! The green corduroy because this is my template. I'm not figuring out how to make a boot with leather. Actually, I'll probably do this two or three more times before I make the real thing. This one is completely from scratch and only about two hours work. And not finished! But for the very beginning of a first attempt, I think we're moving in the right direction.

Sorry about the crappy pic. I tried it on all pinned up and paraded out to the husband on the back porch where he took a picture for me. In truth, he took two, but the other one had his finger in it. (He's so smart, but a real cave man sometimes!) In any case, that is my leg on my back porch in my pseudo bootish corduroy thing.
